I'm realizing my job has eroded by work/life separation in ways I didn't anticipate when I was first hired on. More and more often, I'm making myself available (and responding) off-hours, and just today logged in for about half an hour on a Saturday to tie up a few loose ends from Friday.

I think the most illustrative example of why AI is so terrible are those fake animal videos. Sure, let's drain the fucking oceans to create videos of animals being funny, something you can easily experience by being near any given animal for 5 seconds

I feel like this is a bit of a wake up call lmao. The power in my office building went out on Wednesday, meaning I had to go down 25 flights of stairs to leave. While I was sore yesterday, my legs are so sore today I can barely walk. I'm just kinda hobbling. That's not even from going *up* stairs
