Plan to sustain myself on schadenfreude for the foreseeable future. That and not forgiving anyone who got us into this mess.
I won't be forgetting, and I certainly won't be forgiving.
Excuses need not apply.

Leftists are gleeful over someone who enacted more progressive policy than anyone in their lifetimes, being diagnosed with cancer.

They think only old people can get cancer.

For society’s sake, I hope they have the chance to learn how wrong they are. Soon.

RIP Val Kilmer, one of the greatest to ever do it, a thoroughly irreplaceable charismatic actor

Sad to see that Val Kilmer died at 65.
I've loved him since Real Genius, and he was both a good comedic and dramatic actor. I know he had a lot of health issues, but still too soon.

My thoughts are with his loved ones during this time. RIP.

Bernie didn’t get the nomination because the Democratic primary electorate rejected him. It wasn’t Obama, the DNC or some secret cabal who conspired against him. He was a shitty candidate who didn’t connect with the Black and Brown base of the Democratic Party. You know this.
You can always count on Obama to spring into action when it's a real emergency -- like keeping Bernie from getting the nomination. And certainly, the Clintons will show up for any lucrative speaking engagement. But you can't expect them to lift a finger for something as trivial as a fascist coup.
While I greatly appreciate AOC and Bernie Sanders barnstorming against the meanness, lies, and ineptitude of Trump/Musk, I have to wonder, where are the Obamas? Where are Biden & Harris? Where are the Clintons?

This is an "all hands on deck" situation.

This will be Paul Weiss' most enduring shame. Performatively denouncing an honorable man and a former partner in order to please an autocrat.

"Paul Weiss has acknowledged the wrongdoing of its former partner Mark Pomerantz."

A "former" major Democratic law firm.

Lawyers at Paul Weiss now have a choice. Stay and understand you are now aligned with Trump or leave with your dignity.

I will just reiterate -- even though doing so has long since become pointless -- that keeping these current lunatics out of office was an entirely sufficient argument for voting Dem up and down the ballot. People who didn't do so should feel bad about themselves.

They said before the election that this would happen.

What can they say now except "We told you so"?

People who refused to vote Dem are responsible for all this.
I wish Barack Obama, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris would speak out about Elmer’s and F47’s systematic destruction of our democracy.

Disagree about Bernie.

He's ruined politics for Dems. He's ruined a generation with what it takes to get things done in politics. Unrealistic expectations. Meltdowns. Attacking Dems instead of working together. Accepting racism & misogyny.

He's not helpful and he's extremely self-serving.
agree... Biden would be POTUS right now but for the backstabbing "he's to old" morons. Morons because they got played by the GOP media . However let Berie have his rallies it's better than nothing. The media wont cover thm.

Uh yup. And got zero credit from Leftists, and nothing but crap from center-Right types.
Both of whom then stayed home 2024
Why lie?

Democrats were as far left under Biden as they've been any time since at least LBJ. Student Loan Forgiveness, raising children out of poverty, expanding healthcare, strengthening unions, environmental protections...

So why are you lying? Dems did NOT tack right under Biden. THE OPPOSITE!

All the Do Somethings should be listening to this call.

But I get it, you people don't want boring legal actions or to take time to pay attention what's happening at the state and local levels.

You want action heroes, not legislators.

Grow the eff up.

Hakeem Jeffries' job is not to fight. It's not to scream on TV. It's not to lead marches and get knocked upside the head. His job is to hold his caucus together and keep them on code. He's done that --he even had people recovering from childbirth and surgery flying in to stay on code.

And yet when Harris/Walz ran on literally that, they got creamed in the polls.

Because swing voters chose not to listen to them and instead listen to anti-trans Republican Smear Campaigns.

In fact, they thought Dems focused *too much* on trans issues, a thing entirely driven by Republican smears!

"This is basically the attitude of democrats up and down the ticket"

Citations desperately needed, Oliver.

A handful of Dems, least of all a single state senator from Georgia, cannot be extrapolated to the entire Party.
This is basically the attitude of democrats up and down the ticket and it’s pathetic and unamerican
In a leaked recording, State Senator Elena Parent (D-42) said she’d vote for Republican transgender healthcare bans because trans rights are too “unpopular."

"You can go right to heck. I don’t think I will lose re-election based on you screaming at me"

Trump and Vance needed to create an incident to provide a justification for their pre-planned abandonment of Ukraine now, then separation from NATO in the near future. That’s what that was all about, and that was always the way a second Trump term was going to go.
