I appraised a property in Davis that received a "temporary certificate of occupancy." I've never heard of that before and followed up with the city. It was valid for 12 months after issuance. When I started asking questions why a final COO hadn't been issued, the city issued it. This is a good idea

I love this so much. I just bought a bundle for my friend. What a great gift from @marthawells.com to the world, in more ways than one. @wck.org couldn’t be a worthier cause.

Look at this A-Frame in suburban Detroit. Designed by one of Frank Lloyd Wright's apprentices, Harold Turner. Currently on the market for $850K. How cool is this one?

You don't need to take screenshots of all your plots to put them together! The patchwork package by @thomasp85.com lets you “add” plots with +, /, | .

library(patchwork)
p1 <- ggplot(mtcars, aes(mpg, disp)) + geom_point()
p2 <- ggplot(mtcars, aes(factor(gear), disp)) + geom_boxplot()
p1 + p2

BlueSky Historians - what’s the most ahistorical thing you have ever seen in a film/TV show which was meant to be historical?

(For me it has to be the use of Zadok the Priest playing during the Papal coronation of Rodrigo Borgia - Alexander VI - in The Borgias. 235 years before it was composed.)
