Exactly this. And also - do people not realize the compounding nature of this issue? They think it works so well (it doesn't) when the source knowledge is majority human generated but there will rapidly come a time when that ratio flips.
If you think that professors exist as repositories of knowledge that students ask for answers, you’re missing the entire point of a college education.

We’re here to teach students how to do research, how to analyze and argue, how to think for themselves — how to find the answers on their own.
Wow. Just wow.

"Students pay premium prices for information that AI now delivers instantly and for free. A business student can ask ChatGPT to explain supply chain optimization or generate market analysis in seconds. The traditional lecture-and-test model faces its Blockbuster moment."

Ummm why did my whole feed suddenly switch to nothing more recent than 2 days ago? Milsky, come back to me. I'm missing all the takes.

Thinking about all the SOPs and templates I'm going to have to update

Love it when a book you pre-ordered arrives on a long weekend. Looking forward to digging in, @warmatters.bsky.social!

Been intending to start Patriot since @gravitysra1nbow.bsky.social recommending at the old place, finally got around to it.

Upside: Probably most apt time of my life to watch it. A perfect show.

Downside: I finished it and now I'm forever mad at one of my favorite posters.

I read "strategic communications" and thought maybe there was still hope for soft power but then came to my senses and realized they likely mean "strategically removing any scary woke words from all communications"
SECARMY terminated all current Civilian Aide to the Sec Army (CASA) positions in favor of converting them to tech-focused positions. CASAs historically have been a linkage to our communities and citizens. Not a fan. CivMilSky

Dirtbag right: Shut up about ethics in the military because they're gay and soy.

Dirtbag left: Shut up about ethics in the military because I'm starting from the premise it's unethical no matter what it does so why bother?

Burn After Reading, only keep J.K. Simmons.
In anticipation of our upcoming @sirenspod.bsky.social, pick a national security movie or show and substitute the whole cast with Muppets except one.

Ah, after the group chat then.
Hegseth on when congressional leaders were notified about Trump's Iran strikes: "They were notified after the planes were safely out."
June 22, 2025 at 2:10 PM
I saw this and immediately thought of an International Security professor I once had who most certainly had an aneurysm the moment he said "deterrence" and has now perished. R.I.P.، probably.
Hegseth: "The operation President Trump planned was bold, and it was brilliant, showing the world that American deterrence is back"

Hegseth wanted to be next to Trump so bad during that speech but Rubio had to make sure no one missed hostage video stare.

I’m so glad the next several generations of US service members get a Middle East deployment.

Congratulations to the most powerful branch of the US Government, CENTCOM

My biggest worry is cyber-attacks. Iran doesn't have to fire a single missile at us to kick us in the balls. I don't think Russia or China is going to fight us over this, but I don't think we walk away without bleeding either.

Facts don't care about your intel, folks
Q: When the president says Iran is very close to a nuclear weapon, is he relying on US intelligence or intelligence sharing from an ally?

LEAVITT: It is a fact and the US govt maintains this fact that Iran has never been closer to a nuclear weapon
