I don’t know how many times I’ve watched this video.
I don’t know how we’ve gotten to the point where men in full balaclavas can abduct daycare teachers while they’re watching children.
But I do know that this isn’t sustainable. Abolish ICE. There is no way to reform this.

This is a nice thread about The Onion. Thank you for saying nice things, and I can confirm the premise: If you pay your staff well, and you allow them to do what they're great at, it works better than chasing algorithms. The art is better, the truth is found easier, and—bonus!—the revenue is better.
It isn't a surprise to me that returning to print has made the Onion significantly funnier, but it is a surprise to me how *quickly* it has done so.

If you depend on transgender legal protections, consider your legislative risks. If you can get out of a difficult spot, plan accordingly. Don't be afraid to reach out to organizations in friendlier states, there's many that do good work in relocating folks. Do your research.

PayPal is updating their ToS to let themselves give your data to merchants starting in November and they're certainly banking on people not knowing to opt out, SO to opt out before they start:
go to Settings > Data & Privacy > Manage shared info > Personalized shopping, and toggle that shit off
