So Nexstar and Sinclair got nothing out of their censoring of Kimmel except lost revenue, angering cable customers, angering sponsors, losing sponsors, becoming a laughing stock, associating their brand with censorship for people who never knew they had an agenda… what else

You’re weak.

If you’re trying to silence people who poked fun at you, or didn’t bow down & say what you want them to say…

You’re showing your fear and weakness.

If you really had power, none of this would matter.

This is a massive, history making abuse of your power. It will define your legacy and one day you will come to regret punishing free speech and trying to destroy democracy.

It is not about Kimmel or what he said. It is about the US government forcing a network to fire someone - no government should have that power. If the network decided this on their own, that’s one thing. But in this case they absolutely did not.

The laws have not changed, the precedent has not changed.

What has changed is that you have a President who says "I have an Article 2 where I have the right to do whatever I want as president' and a Supreme Court who agrees.

If you were too young in 2003 here is what Bush told the American people:

1) The Iraq War won’t cost a lot of money
3) We won’t need a lot of troops
4) We’ll bring peace and freedom to Iraq
5) We’ll find WMDs
6) We’ll be welcomed as liberators
7) It will be easy
8) It won’t take long

All lies.

The thing about the missing NYT and other media coverage of the massive protests:

Democratic leaders could ELEVATE the protests in the media by talking about them. If Chuck Schumer went to a #NoKings protest, took selfie video, and pushed it out this week with mixed-in criticism of Trump…
When historians look back at this moment, they will see a regime attacking the democratic process with threats and violence, and a massive display of support for democracy.

What will they see when they look for its coverage in the press?
