I don’t have much of any investment in either of these logos, BUT… rewarding aggrieved white people for throwing temper tantrums over “southern heritage” is exactly how Reconstruction ended and how the seeds of the modern conservative movement were sown.

Reminder: I was raised on PBS not FotF. It was entirely possible and accessible and easy to choose a different path. Dobson et al. not only knew better but were actively reacting to healthy, empathetic, Christlike, well-reseached parenting methods and child development knowledge already in practice.

I once had a conversation with someone high up at Focus on the Family (not Dobson, though his death brought the story to mind). I was talking about folks who experienced church hurt, and he stopped me.
