I was worried my kids would rely on AI as a shortcut but they hate it. They use "AI" to mean stupid or cheap ("aimbot" means good). I tried to say AI is helpful for some things and my daughter said "yeah, for making you stupid." This is how they talked about Drake after "Not Like Us" came out

Tre White’s been getting a lot of hate, but between this and Poyer playing his fuckin’ heart out in the Texans game, I say let the “olds” cook

Saw a person walking in upstate NY with a Cowboys jacket and thought “wow, unfortunate,” but apparently they beat the fuckin’ Eagles? In this economy?

“I can’t stand sports betting, and how quickly seemingly every man in mainstream sports media became such an insufferable loser about it, and how their incessant shilling for this shit has ushered in a crisis that I’m afraid we have no way of mitigating.”

Sing it.

Happy “Fire Joe Brady” Monday to all who celebrate.

I’m all for criticizing the coaching, calls, and stadium that led to injuries on both teams as well as the referee and, uh, play clock. Some horrible decisions. But let’s not forget the players faced the best defense in the league on short rest.

It’s weird liking most of a writer’s output while also knowing they would probably drive me fucking nuts in-person. Like the opposite of a parasocial relationship, I guess?

I’ve had every other combo—good writing good vibes, bad writing good vibes, bad writing bad vibes—but this one’s new!

It’s incredible how much better the Bills passing game was today. Get 0 outta here. I hope the Hartman calf injury isn’t too bad because he had a hell of a return. Now let’s figure out the run defense (and how to utilize more than one run play on offense)

imagine calling more than one run play

couldn’t be joe brady

My wife joked about someone doing a reverse Ted Lasso by hiring a soccer coach to the NFL and I just can’t shake the idea that Arteta at the Bills would be top-tier cinema.

"The only issue I am facing as a professional art director in games is that I just want them to leave me and my art teams alone so we can make cool art. There is no problem to be solved here"

I think about this quote A LOT

Bills defense: constant unfortunate injuries, still manages to make some big stops and get interceptions even though they cannot stop the run

Bills offense: mostly fine (before Dalton Kincaid gets injured) except for the fact that they cannot make big plays unless shit is truly dire

if you’ve created an offense around josh allen in which he cannot under any circumstances throw the ball downfield you have failed in a profound way. it doesn’t matter how good the run game design is. you’ve failed!

once again this completely depleted defense full of random guys bowed the hell up and gave them a chance only for the offense to slip and fall in their own vomit
The Bills offense has decided they do not want to win this game

very happy to watch a bunch of teams pick up receivers, edges, and defensive tackles while the buffalo bills elect to cross their fingers instead

I don't understand what this means? I know the teams always report the practice status of players, but why would it need to be investigated? The only reason anyone would care about the status of a player would be the betting line, right?
The NFL will look into the Ravens practice and participation situation surrounding Lamar Jackson’s status, I’m told, as it reviews any matter involving a change to a player’s status.

Dumb theory: aside from the roster issues, bad penalties, and stupid play calls, the problem with the Bills offense is Josh Allen really doesn’t like the visor he’s had on since the injury and it’s throwing him off

but man, SOMETHING has to be done about this. it's not just cruel, it's simply broken; people with years or even DECADES of experience are getting left on the pile not because they're unqualified, but because the recruitment systems simply aren't working.

The Sora AI thing is proof of something very important: The technology itself is useless without the ability to use the likenesses of real, living, unpredictable people, and the art they create. And the only way to get those likenesses or that art is to summarily steal it.
