Did South African medics really argue with the referee after an IMG triggered an HIA?!?
November 15, 2025 at 4:42 PM
I remember when an English U20s medic did this with a female referee … she didn’t back down and there were repercussions, as there should have been.
The Springbok doctor trying to argue with the ref a player who needs a HIA should stay on the pitch is kinda disgusting ngl

I think it will be 4 reduced to 3 with schooling - unless he admits guilt.
3 weeks down to 2 with schooling.

Exactly what they should do - Trump is a bully who expects people to capitulate when he threatens them. Let’s follow Canada’s example and stand up to him … and his golf courses took UK taxpayer furlough money - any way we can get that back?!?
A counterclaim might be an interesting idea
BBC has a case against Trump. WhiteHouse Chief Press Officer called the BBC ‘100% fake news.’ Which is defamatory and untrue.

Absolutely this. Whilst CVC ‘only’ owns a slice of the commercial rights for both the URC and the Premiership, they’ve got a lot of clout and if they want it to happen, it will happen.
Everyone forgets the role of CVC here. They own a slice of both leagues and will think the unthinkable to ensure they return a profit on their investment. None of the premiership clubs made a profit last year and their total debt is now £340m. CVC have the RFUs balls in a vice.
Everyone should hope this doesnt happen

Because I have predicted it several times and been mocked for doing so

My smugness would be unbearable.

Obviously the details have to ironed out, but this is a fantastic step.

Makes me very uncomfortable when I’m on the same side as Lauren Boebert - although I’m also cynical enough to think that she and MTG have their own agendas with all of this.

Unfortunately, despite the officials making the correct call, yet again the player who received head contact was not subbed off for an HIA.
I have sympathy for rugby players. They’re in a hugely physical sport, which demands aggression & constant contact. Yet due to increased awareness of CTE, must balance that with threat of Y/R Card. But Lood is never legal & that tucked shoulder was always wrecking something, be it a knee, or a head.

Says everything about Kolisi really - team ahead of himself.
I’d have given him MoM for that!
Kolisi made the sacrifice after De Jager's red card. PSDT's decision-making thereafter was game-shaping.

Boks had French on the run. PSDT turned down 3 pts to go for the throat.

Forwards and maul stood tall – and some crucial individual finishing by Reinach, Williams, SFM

So red cards do NOT ruin big matches in the end.

Comments from today - Murrayfield does not need piped in atmosphere for a match like this; fortunately the DJ or whatever finally got that memo!

Just a reminder on why font choice matters. 😅

The statement Beauden Barrett provided for Tadhg Beirne's disciplinary hearing.

"I take responsibility for entering contact in a high position, as that contributed to the nature of the collision."

Barrett praised Beirne for "good awareness" to prevent a more serious collision.

I’m intrigued that he received treatment on the flight from Chicago to the UK … does that mean ice; elevation; a theragun? Curious …

This isn’t good - has to raise serious questions about the governance of the league.
I'm hearing from multiple sources that the #UtahWarriors will not compete in #MLR2026.

They were granted an extension to secure new funding, while has not materialised. This puts #MLR down to 6 teams, their lowest ever. I hope all players and staff land on their feet.

Crap, hadn’t thought of that …
The only part of this game that’s still unclear is how significant Trump’s tariffs on Scotland will be after the shellacking.

Given what is going on in Welsh Rugby at the moment, the WRU should be producing a paper detailing all of the costs etc associated with this. Because yet again the optics are awful.
