You might question her methods, but credit to Bari Weiss: her leadership has pushed 60 Minutes into new formats and attracted a bunch of new viewership outside the normal broadcast audience.
here's the 60 minutes cecot video part 1 of 5 - recorded/uploaded by and all credit to @jasonparis.bsky.social

I just reduced background noise, chopped the 14 minutes into 3 minute segments each compressed under 100 mb for bsky's limits, cropped and rotated a few degrees for easier viewing on here

I was floored by The Last of Us, and thought it was an amazing series on its own, game or no game.

I lasted one ep into Season 2. Sometimes, it's okay to just let the story be the story and stop there.
This is another good example: craig mazan was amazing with Chernobyl, but the last of us series, it’s pretty close to the game but the second season didn’t really deliver much.

Sometimes good artists make bad art 🤷‍♂️

The next time you’re tempted to beat yourself up over a silly mistake at work, think of the poor guy who pulled a real-life “Sorry, I’m sorry, I’m trying to remove it” after publicly hearting a photo of Jeffrey Epstein.
absolutely wild move by @oversightdemocrats.house.gov to allow comments on the dropbox folder with the epstein photos

So far Karoline Leavitt, Russ Vought, and even Kash Patel are defending Susie Wiles online. It does not sound like she is out of Trump's favor yet. And what Chief of Staff to the president has ever given on-the-record unauthorized interviews to the press, then survived that breach of trust? 9/

I’m not even going to publish a copy of Trumps comments about Reiner and his wife. But occasionally he reminds me that he is simply one of the worst, most degenerate individuals who has ever existed in American public life. Hard to think of any more vicious, vile and sociopathic.

I'm not even going to repost a screengrab of his post about Rob Reiner but man it really needs to be said every single day: Trump truly is the biggest piece of shit in the world, a man of absolutely no good qualities and seemingly limitless bad ones. Support for him is just so damning.

Steve isn’t here anymore, but he always posted this picture on Hanukkah so I thought we could carry on his tradition and remember him.
Happy Hanukkah to our friends who celebrate. Rachel Posner, a rabbi’s wife in Kiel, Germany, took this photograph in 1931 -- a potent reminder that fascism must be fought in every generation, even if it's wrapped in an American flag and a red hat.

Dying at "like Mary Poppins for homicides"
my favorite thing about the benoit blanc movies is that they aren't really about benoit blanc. he is not grappling with demons from his past. we are not getting flashbacks to the husband whose murder he never solved. he just shows up and does his job like mary poppins for homicides

In case you hate swiping up in iOS Safari to access your tabs, here is how to change it back:
Totally sucks. You can go settings > apps > safari > [change tabs to “bottom” instead of compact] and it reverts to how it was

Abraham Lincoln's Aug 1855 letter to his friend Joshua Speed is famous - mostly, for his pointed comments about the dissolution of the 2d party system and the hypocrisy of pro-slavery and anti-immigrant sentiment in the US.

But it's worth reading for another reason his well...
