Still am.
Wearing respies meant that I did not miss a beat.

I was out and about swabbing COVID positive patients, and going supermarket shopping… not infected and not spreading anything.

Wearing masks is the opposite of shutting down. It’s incredibly empowering in the face of infectious disease.

Cheeto last weekend.

The way gravity seems to be winning bigly, & rapidly, gives him the look that a lot of folks, especially men, have after a few rounds with #COVID.

Saw phenomenon discussed a few years ago & ever since I can't unsee it. Accelerated aging? Loss of muscle?

The reason we're rounding up grandmothers and shoving them onto concrete floors for months at a time with no habeas corpus is in part because soft human trafficking is an incredibly lucrative business for some people in this administration.

Just got my Covid vaccine and asked if they’ve been busy. The nurse said they were worried people wouldn’t come in, but they’re getting lots of demand. Good going, herd! Resisting propaganda saves lives.

The simple, slim monthly #planner (not weekly! just monthly) that I've been purchasing in multiples for years from Dollar Tree had jumped to $1.50 and is now $2.00. It now includes two years of calendar pages (makes it heavier, unfortunately) and no longer has the plastic slipcover.

Called my local CVS this morning & was told they had plenty of #novavax and to just walk in.
Arrived during lunch break & waited. When it was my turn I stated I wanted novavax. I was told their system was down & to try back tomorrow. It felt weird. Not the 1st time for oddities @ this CVS.

What's the most ridiculous conversation you've had when calling a pharmacy or clinic to inquire about #Novavax?

I teach science, so sometimes I teach children about using condoms. 🧵

Children don't ask "will we be using condoms forever", because we teach them that there are several different ways to protect themselves and others from STIs and unplanned pregnancy.

Long term sequlae of COVID: we have a terminology problem. Too many people envision long COVID as an annoying cough or some extra fatigue that eventually goes away, similar to recovering from a bad cold or even influenza.

Raise your hand if you've come across someone who has refused to test because they know they aren't sick. "You need to trust me that I'm not sick," and therefore, they refuse to test.

It’s 2025… can we start masking in hospitals this year?

Can we stop insinuating that hospital acquired covid is “inevitable” or that those who die were going to “die anyways”?

Can we call it what it is? An epic failure of infection control to protect those who put their lives in your hands:
A Plea to Maskless Healthcare Workers from Vulnerable Patients
If you see a mask - wear a mask. Better yet - wear a mask all the time and show us you understand that we're still IN a pandemic. We are depending on you to keep us safe - please don't betray that.

Not necessarily. Yes, some sort of testing requirement before boarding should have absolutely been in place.
