This is a swimming sea slug. This type of slug, called a dendronotus nudibranch, can grow nearly a foot long in the Vancouver area where this was filmed. While they're often found on the seafloor, they can also fold their bodies to drift with ocean currents

Occasional reminder that there’s no, “it’s too late, its over” for anthropogenic climate change. Every molecule of CO2 that doesn’t go into the atmosphere makes a difference. Preventing 0.1 degree of warming makes a difference. Every bit of climate resilience we build together makes a difference.

this but with streaming services. my original main complaint about cable was that it was too expensive. but now, add up Hulu, Max, Netflix, Peacock, Amazon, AppleTV, Disney+….. girl just give me back cable this is crazy. Just give me one consolidated bill.
just totted up all the substacks I pay for and found myself thinking ‘wow wouldn’t it be better if all these writers were in one place and I could just pay a flat fee’ so anyway that’s how today I invented the concept of the ‘newspaper’
