So, AI companies are… mysteriously exempt from having to provide data on how much water they use from public supplies? Good good nothing could possibly go wrong there…
AI boom means regulator cannot predict future water shortages in England

The media should stop playing along with the phrasing that ties their racist shit to DEI initiatives. The headlines should read "in their efforts to advance white supremacy," not "to curb DEI" or whatever.

We already have a term for this shit. Let's use it.

Mauvaka not getting a serious foul play red card is insane. The referees have totally interpreted the rules incorrectly: they've applied the tackle scenario for an off-the-ball dead play incident! It's a headbutt! It's not a tackle that slipped up too high! #FRAvSCO

Not only is this crass, it is highly significant.

Radosław Sikorski is perhaps the most Atlanticist major politician in Europe.

And this is how he is now being publicly treated by US/Musk.

Trump’s position on tax-and-spend here goes *even further* than the arguments put forward by Charles I during his personal rule.

This is now not only going before the American revolution, it is going before the ‘English’ (ie British) civil wars.

Even the Tudors would probably blanch at this.

Moreover – missed by basically all the news coverage – the costs of this transition are radically lower than the CCC thought just 5yrs ago

Investment needs halved from £1.3tn to £0.7tn
Net costs down by three-quarters from £0.4tn to £0.1tn

Those are huge shifts!

www.bbc.co.uk/news/article... There's an interesting couple of numbers tucked away in this story - a ferry built in 1993 to carry up to 110 cars now carries only 90. Due to "autobesity", almost 20% of its vehicle capacity has been lost simply due to bigger and fatter modern cars

REMINDER: Those choosing to live in subsidized suburbs for a bigger house and yard are NOT also entitled to free-flow car traffic capacity (aka an “easy car commute”) into the city at the expense of the taxes, health, safety (hint: bike-lanes) & quality of life of city-dwellers.
