An official government account using the word “remigration” is not normal. It’s an imported term from European far-right movements that refers to mass expulsion. Democracies do not use population-purification language. #holdfast #SteadyState

I continue to wonder when Americans will decide enough is enough. As Frederick Douglass reminds us:

“The limits of tyrants are prescribed by the endurance of those whom they oppress.”

One of the most prescient statements you made, that has stuck with me as I've watched the collapse of critical thinking in America, was this:
"The point of modern propaganda isn't only to misinform or push an agenda. It is to exhaust your critical thinking, to annihilate truth."

Do we say a man is sane when he calls in the military to fight a war when there is no war? If such a man is not sane, do we have a solution to stop the madness if he’s in the White House?

Hearings in Congress on Epstein's real life QAnon that convicted felon Trump was a part of. That's why he's extra crazy, breaking the Constitution to have Kimmel fired, using Kirk's murder. Don't stop calling for the release of the Epstein files

People are buckling to pressure, threats of having their lives destroyed, they have kids and mortgages to think of. Yes, corruption, complacency, greed, white patriarchy got us here, but Trump being a Russian-linked mob boss head of the Trump criminal enterprise has a lot to do with.

After years of complaining about cancel culture, the current administration has taken it to a new and dangerous level by routinely threatening regulatory action against media companies unless they muzzle or fire reporters and commentators it doesn’t like.
Let’s be clear about what happened to Jimmy Kimmel
Trump’s most brazen attack on free speech yet.

The level of anger and violent rhetoric spewing forth from Trump, Vance & particularly Stephen Miller is profoundly irresponsible. There’s a reason societies depend on responsible public servants to model decent and ethical behavior—so that they don’t devolve and fracture into violence & hate.

We're witnessing the most aggressive, fanatical crackdown on free speech in my lifetime. The speed and breadth of government censorship and private sector and nonprofit capitulation has been astonishing. As has the lack of urgency/silence from people who've long claimed to care about this stuff.

We shouldn’t underestimate the extent to which the resources of foreign adversaries (including money to influencers and the creation of online influencer accounts and their associated botnets) are contributing to the inflammatory rhetoric driving division within the US.

Our politics seems to be entering a phase of "right supremacy" where only the lives of right-wingers have value. Assassinating the leader of a state legislative body in her own damn home was business as usual, but all of America has to have a reckoning if it's a far-right online influencer.

The horror in that video you saw today has happend to children at Annunciation Church and in Uvalde and in Sandy Hook and countless other schools over the last few decades.

If you’re outraged by the death of Charlie Kirk, you should be equally outraged for them.

Truly disgusting statement by Trump from the Oval Office just now.

I continue to oppose political violence—the fact that the current President of the United States is one of the preeminent inciters of political violence in American history notwithstanding.

Charlie Kirk’s death is awful and abhorrent but it’s appalling that the President is calling for national mourning for a right wing propagandist and hasn’t said a word about Officer David Rose or the brave employees at the CDC

I’d think what you’d want during a highly volatile, politically polarized time marked by violence is a president who can appeal to our common values and humanity and inspire calm and unity, rather than promising revenge.

Wild. The political murders of legislators in Minnesota were “killings.” The shooting of Kirk which cause is unknown is an “assassination.”

Trump has caused estrangement between brothers & sisters, mothers & fathers, best friends & neighbors.

No other president has ever created this kind of rift.

I will never not be dumbstruck that a lifelong conman, who cares about nothing and no one but himself, has fractured these relationships.
