Only criminals attack the innocent. ICE agents abusing power should be arrested, and so should the man who gave them their orders.

I don’t mean this as a slight to Radley but driver entitlement is a disease of the mind. And I say that as a regular driver! Broken brains throughout the responses to this tweet

I think it was a huge mistake to make our society so car-dependent. But man. The Discourse today is a good reminder that when it comes to roadways policy, otherwise progressive anti-car people quickly become some of the most pro-carceral, anti-civil liberties people on the planet.

And here’s the kicker: Tierney’s vote, the mayor’s vote, and all the like-minded councillors always have the numbers. They win. Every time.
So if their approach is always the one implemented… how are things not improving, Tim? 17/

More info on the Habitat for Humanity project coming to Ward 9 that I helped make happen. 33 new townhomes might be a drop in the bucket when it comes to our housing needs, but for 33 qualifying families soon to own their first home, that drop is as deep as an ocean! www.ctvnews.ca/ottawa/artic...

The City of Ottawa and the Ontario government are contributing nearly $10 million toward a Habitat for Humanity project to build 33 modular, affordable townhomes in Nepean.

Cops don’t keep you safe. Cops don’t reduce crime.
Canadians deserve to be safe in your communities.

That’s why we’re hiring 1,000 more RCMP personnel and strengthening the Criminal Code — to help keep violent and repeat offenders off your streets.

We need to talk about Bill 9, Bill 9 and Bill C-9.

Somehow, they’re ALL awful — and they all infringe on the freedoms of Canadians, from trans Canadians, to visibly religious Canadians, to Canadians protesting genocide.

Can we agree: no more Bill 9s until we figure out what the hell is going on?

There's enough inaccurate or concerning information in the way in which @en.ottawa.ca is communicating about the 2026 Budget that I felt it should be addressed. And it's the concept of $252M in "savings" that I want to talk about, because this information is being used falsely. 1/
#OttBudget 2026 invests in the services we rely on every day. Through service reviews and continuous improvement, we have realized more than $252 million in savings during this Term of Council.
One example of a service improvement is the redesigned Open Ottawa platform.

Are these "continuous improvements", or sleight of hand? Obfuscation, deflection, misrepresentation, whatever you want to call it. It's the pre-election budget, and someone's pumping the tires, but the tires have holes. That "hisssss" you hear is the sound of credibility leaking.

The Order of Ottawa holds up for recognition residents of our city "who have brought honour and prestige to themselves" through their contributions to the City. No doubt, Watson accomplished many things, but with such a tainted record of scandals & failures, how do you derive honour & prestige?

I've never been to an Order of Ottawa ceremony. I'd hoped to attend this year, but I can't support the idea of being there when former Mayor Jim Watson is presented an award that he should not be given. It feels like I'd be complicit in something horribly obscene. 1/

In doing this, he managed to piss off one of his own cabinet ministers (who promptly resigned), coastal First Nations, the B.C. government, the Green Party and the Bloc Québécois.

Before I even clicked the video to see the context in which Carney responded “who cares” to a reporter asking when he last spoke with Trump, I knew it would a female reporter who asked the question.

Why? Because Carney is consistently more short with and rude to female reporters.

Sure enough:
