Service members signed up to defend the Constitution, not to police their neighbors.

After making him suffer in an El Salvador torture prison, the Trump administration will stop at nothing to deport Kilmar Ábrego García. They're trying to take him from his family and home to a country he has zero connection to, a punishment for fighting for his rights.

This is unjust and cruel.

Forcing a pregnant woman to sleep on the floor, denying a child with a brain tumor treatment — these are just some of the damning allegations about ICE detention made in a new report from Senator Ossoff.

This report adds to what we've long known: ICE detention is dangerous and puts lives at risk.

'Big Beautiful' $45B for detention centers could instead finance an estimated 163,600 new affordable apartments through the Low Income Housing Tax Credit.

It could prevent imminent eviction for between 9.8M and 16.6M households.

It could prevent around 59M utility shutoffs.

The budget for ICE (not including all other parts of DHS) is now $55B.

'Big Beautiful' funding for detention centers alone is $45B.

How much for the housing crisis? The entire proposed FY26 HUD budget is $38B.

$0 to prevent evictions. $0 for community dev block grant.

Who will it denaturalize? "Any" case that it "determines to be sufficiently important".

It’s been 100 days since Trump started disappearing people into El Salvador’s mega-prison, CECOT, without due process.

Let me be clear: this isn’t immigration policy—it is a human rights atrocity. We cannot lose sight of this grotesque violation of constitutional and human rights.

SCOTUS ruled that Trump had to give people adequate notice before deporting them.

Yet today, there are reports that he's deporting 177 immigrants with under 24 hours' notice—not enough time to assert due process. We cannot stand by as this admin continues to disappear people.
