Oooh, a chance to promote an out-of-print book on which I didn't have a royalty deal! And all I have to do is pay money to this book club that I've never heard of!!
New authors: keep an eye out. These scams are coming for you.

Just updated the Wikipedia page for John Eastman to reflect his presidential pardon. However, Eastman (like the other pardonees) did not have any actual federal charges against him, and the pardon does not effect his indictments in Georgia and Arizona.

A 30 year loan for $500,00 at 6% is $3008 per month. 50 year, $2642. You’re saving about 12% on each payment (less, once you allow for insurance and other fees, which are fixed), but you never live to own your house.

A cool thing about digging through old papers is that you see things that confirm their moment, like the style of telephone in this 1922 cartoon, and it's reference to prohibition... but also there are things to check out. Was "wiff" slang at the time, or just a slip on writing "wife"?

The Famous Teddy Z himself is coming to a comic convention near you (if you happen to be in Rhode Island, which, let's face it, most of you don't.) Paying him for a signature is actually giving to a good cause!
Hey y’all

and all my proceeds will be going to @trevorproject.bsky.social for LGBTQ+ youth

So much weight gets put on the social person.
(Having said that: recalled item is a Kirkland product, Costco's private label. Public announcement of the recall is close to unnecessary, as Costco has a record of what all their members buy and contacts them directly for recalls.)

Per our previous posts on this, the social person doesn't get a say in the hazard descriptions so we must infer that this glass bottle breaks in a way that is unusually dangerous for glass bottles to break.

Just looked over the past 100 years of NYC mayoral elections. While there have been times that the R candidate came in 3rd before, their worst performance, 1985, was when they got 9.1% of the vote.
This year? 7.1%.
