Because every warning label has a story behind it, I have questions.

one really nice thing about being in Sweden for a few days is that I feel completely out of the loop and that, my friends, is a fantastic feeling. I have no clue what dippy english speaking political bobbins is going on and am just fine with that.

Just randomly remembered the time a guy came up to me in Leeds asking me to vote for him for PCC, and when I asked if he was a member of a political party told me he was backed by the Tories, and I said I didn't believe PCC should be a political appointment and he called me naive.

No no no begs every archivist. You are never going to be able to find anything. Please don’t start using emojis in file names. Who asked for this? What fresh hell is next?

instead of a slap drone why not pay an underemployed tuba player to follow wrong'uns about? cheery oompah soundtrack when all's well, ominous Wagnerish score when crimering.

Quick reminder: appeasing someone who hates you will not stop them hating you. (everybody here knows this, whichever side of the fence they are.)

Watched The Menu (finally). Margot's "this food isn't made with love but obsession" scene, from her clap to her leaving is one of the best pieces of storytelling I've seen in ages. It would probably work as standalone. Really good work from Fiennes & ATJ.

I will usually defend the BBC on many counts but the sour grapes being displayed by a news editorial direction over a city mayor vote in a foreign state is just contemptable.

Ok, do if a bootlace snaps and you buy a replacement pair it's perfectly normal to swap both of them rather than just the snapped one, right?
