A talking serpent seems fairly unique!
This is the absolutely remarkable 18th century stone at Lundie, with Adam and Eve in Eden on one side and Abraham, Isaac and the unfortunate ram on the other.
Truly, one of the most special grave markers in Scotland.

While researching Ireland's 18th-century elite Catholics - the Viscount Kenmare family - for my talk at St Giles-in-the-Fields, I came across this wonderful footnote to the 1724-1727 Daybooks of the Kenmare Estate which explains the 'Gaelic soubriquets' in Cló Gaelach of some of the Kenmare tenants

The home of the O'Donovan family is being used as a polling station in Coolmoyne, Co Tipperary. Around 250 people are eligible to vote at the house and after they cast their ballot, they will be treated to a cup of tea, a slice of apple or rhubarb tart, or a scone | More: rte.ie/b/1540324

A wolf carved on the headstone of the grave of Chief Long Wolf, an Oglala Sioux. A member of Buffalo Bill Cody’s Wild West Show, he died in London, 1892. He was buried at Brompton Cemetery. His body was repatriated back to the US in 1996.
