Just a vibe, you know?

From the UK, jetzt in Deutschland.

Used to wrangle code, coders, and customers for a living. Now just for fun.

Interested in complex systems and how they fail us. Oh, and jokes.

Lots of people sharing this clip because it's funny and cathartic but I also genuinely believe it's important.

We have to win the narrative battle between "I live in a corrupt society and that's just how it is" and "I live in a corrupt society and we are going to defeat and humiliate these ghouls."
Good morning to Brazilian reporter Manuela Borges, who’s been waiting eleven years for this petty moment. ❤️ 🇧🇷

James Bond supervillains threaten to blow up the world with their big laser unless you pay them a trillion dollars.

Real American supervillains embed themselves in the economy and threaten to cause a depression unless you subsidize their sex robots and the weird chatbots they use to avoid humans.

There are recordings of Donald calling Georgia officials asking them to fabricate 11,870 votes so that he could steal the 2020 election. And when that didn’t work, his goons seized election equipment and tried to sabotage the results. Now no one is being held accountable for these heinous actions.

I think at this point if you're including Diane Abbott - a woman who has never held government office, has been a backbencher since 2020, and is scarcely a government ally - on your list of political wrongdoers, we all know exactly what your real concerns are

There are of course of judicial systems, which each have their own merits and problems. But if we are going to change the fundamental basis of what justice means in this country, it should come with a big public debate, not something rushed off because resources are tight when no one is looking.

Brexit and wild swimming. That sounds like red meat (er sourdough starter?) for Guardian readers. But it’s a depressing assessment of this government’s feeble attempts to fix the roof by ripping up floorboards.

Well this is embarrassing for "newspaper of record" The Times:

Its coverage of EVs is the most misleading among UK titles, with 52% of pieces in H1 2024 containing at least one misleading statement

(The Daily Telegraph "wins" on volume, with 44 misleading pieces)
