My name is Graham Platner and I’m running for US Senate to defeat Susan Collins and topple the oligarchy that’s destroying our country.

I’m a veteran, oysterman, and working class Mainer who’s seen this state become unlivable for working people. And that makes me deeply angry.

Are we ready to have a conversation about how the current regime probably feels safe and familiar to many people who grew up in strict Christian homes that used authoritarian parenting?

I don’t really miss drinking (quit due to it being a trigger for health conditions) but every once and awhile on a hot summer day I miss the abomination I created called the arugula mojito - a mocktail version just wouldn’t hit the same I’m afraid

Goodnight Texas - can’t even remember who they opened for just that I loved them more than the main act and that they became one of my absolute faves
Who was the best opening act you've seen live?

Did ANYONE release a #Pride2025 collection that isn’t the sartorial equivalent of being shoved into a locker and called a freak? Drop some links because I need to see something pretty.

“Why did burning girls matter in Vietnam but not in Gaza?”

The 'Napalm Girl' photo shocked the world and helped end the Vietnam War, writes @jehadabusalim.bsky.social for Zeteo, but a child surrounded by flames and other similar images in Gaza can't even provoke a ceasefire.

Termination notices to Maine grant recipients said the work was 'no longer consistent with EPA funding priorities.' At least 2 of the 3 Maine recipients plan to appeal the termination.

I was having a bad day, then I saw a 40% coupon for a makeup brand whose lipstick I just realized I was out of, which is incidentally my favorite lipstick. Only to realize it’s been discontinued 💔💔💔💔 rip I guess

It's hard to take these kinds of comments seriously given the Trump administration's record so far, but I see it as a win for Long COVID advocacy that this was the first question asked at the hearing.
During the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee hearing with Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. today, Kennedy testified that he is "100% committed to finding treatments for Long COVID."

The Sick Times will continue to follow the story.

I think this is my last straw for my long over due break up with duo

I’ve long felt that I’ve hit a wall with duo and I need to switch it up to a different learning app now that I’m not quite a beginner learner anymore

But this was the push I need.

Anyone got suggestions?

we were all in a sky scraper so someone else in the group pushes me out of the window and said “time for you to wake up now” which I did 🥰
