My own message to Democrats: if you've been expecting our advocacy to be a reliable funnel to the ticket, that has never been our job and I'm starting to resent how it feels like you think it is.
This is not a thing that ads or focus groups or nipping around the edges with influencers can solve. We need wholesale change across the party — new leaders who can redefine what the party means.
