Labour’s civil war had next to nothing to do with antisemitism and even less to do with actual policy, left OR right. Labour had spent two decades turning the party into a well-oiled money-spinning op between big business and MPs, and Corbyn’s desired reforms imperilled their phoney-baloney jobs.
The party was subject to a hostile takeover by its right-wing in 2020 because the left threatened their revolving door system of sinecures and make-work jobs at utility companies, so now the party mainly functions as a way for MPs to audition for future employment opportunities. Sorry about that.
