Words to avoid with someone facing depression:
• 'It’s just in your mind'
• 'Why don’t you snap out of it?'
• 'Life’s tough for everyone'
• 'Some have it harder than you'
• 'Maybe a quick walk will fix it'
• 'You seem fine to me'
• 'We all feel down sometimes'

A bit late in posting, but I did get out to protest the current administration on April 5. It felt good to be part of something so much larger than myself. Our rally cries were heard in places all over this great country!

Esketamine (Spravato) treatments don't seem to be taking hold of my depression symptoms the way we hoped they would. Going back tomorrow for an increased dose. Praying to finally see some positive effect. I'm truly tired after trying so, so many other treatments.

Finished esketemine treatment number 6 today, so I'm halfway through the treatments. Had a low mood day, but blaming that on the gray skies more than anything else.

Yesterday was treatment #3 with Spravato (esketamine) for my treatment-resistant depression. I'm getting into the rhythm of these treatments and even have had a couple of good days this week. Forcing myself to remain hopeful that this treatment will work.

Second treatment under my belt. I recovered much more quickly from this one than the first. Not so wobbly and uncoordinated this time.

Had my first esketamine (Spravato) treatment yesterday. It was an unnerving experience, very out-of-body-ish for a time. Afterward, I was wobbly and uncoordinated. I am choosing to remain hopeful that this string of treatments will help heal my depression.

Depression doesn’t just create loneliness; it rewires your thoughts to make you believe you deserve it. It tells you that people don’t want you around, that you’re a burden.

But you are not a burden.
You belong here, and you deserve to be surrounded by those who remind you of that.

I start esketamine (Spravato) treatments for my depression in two days. Grateful for this opportunity to try another treatment method. I've tried countless meds and done transcranial magnetic stimulation three times.
