It's ironic that a History or English degree still makes you very well equipped to work in an office but learning to code was largely a fad

I'm increasingly convinced that a number of Republicans in government know the actual state of Trump's health and they are starting to infight over who controls the movement once Trump is unable to. It explains so much of the weird behavior from the regime.
He is not well.

If someone’s grandpa posted this on Facebook, the family would be discussing assisted living by dinner.

I love the ocean, like on a spiritual level, but being stuck in the open ocean for 40 minutes while I just witnessed some of my friends get incinerated seems pretty bad?

Unintentionally became a performative male stereotype this weekend as I sat on the A train to Harlem reading Toni Morrison.

Twitter accounts are based in Russia. BlueSky accounts are based in homes with, frankly, too many books, plants, obsolete cables, and pieces of rustic pottery, that could do with a bit of a tidying up, to be honest.

Until a few months ago the DOJ was, by far, the most qualified legal practice in the country, employing the most professional, dedicated, and ethical group of lawyers anywhere.

It took this Admin less than a year to turn it into Dewey, Cheatham, and Howe LLP.
This *entire* episode is all of the evidence anyone should ever need, regardless of their politics, for why it's important to have experienced career officials in key government positions (like U.S. Attorney), rather than partisan cronies (unlawfully) appointed solely to do the President's bidding.
The facts are complicated, but here’s a summary of what appears to have happened based on the filings and today’s hearing:

It was an entirely honorable, rationale and respectable choice for a top law student from a top law school to do several years of service at the DoJ in lieu of taking a $250k a year starting salary at a big law firm. The best lawyers worked for the DOJ! The regime torched that idea in 9 months.
NEWS: During a hearing in federal court in VA, prosecutors confirmed that the operative indictment in the case against James Comey was never shown to or voted on by the entire grand jury before it was presented in open court.

Defense counsel argued that’s a complete bar to further prosecution

Despite this being naive, Raskin was saying the same thing about Mamdani last week so I won't say he's not consistent.
Raskin: We are a big tent. We must be a huge, vast tent. I say this is a party that’s got room for Marjorie Taylor Greene if she wants to come over.

Elite impunity, anti monopoly, anti-corruption, affordability.... pretty clear path forward for whoever is able to stop fearing the donors.
The Epstein story gets a something that is tearing at the heart of the electorate: elite impunity. The idea that wealthy and powerful people can do terrible things *at scale* and face no consequences for them. Whatever political party actually stops it could rule the country for a generation.
