It is tempting to look away, to ignore it just to protect yourself and your sanity. But as a father, the very idea that this is happening at all, let alone in my country, let alone by people who claim to be *representing me*, is unconscionable. It must be seen, because it must be stopped.
These are the living conditions ICE/border patrol provides for the children they kidnap.

The more I think about it, the timing, the players, the politics... the more it feels like oligarchic lever-pulling. The eight senators were the tip of the iceberg, the most expendable ones. We are meant to be angry at them; they are the PR equivalent of human shields.

National Guardsmen now stationed outside our DC building confirmed that the only thing they can do if they witness a crime is call 911. The have no more authority than my office mate to intervene. Despite the handcuffs, they can't make arrests. They are very expensive mall cops.
