A LOT of new followers, so I thought an introduction might be in order. I'm Mike, a cartoonist, illustrator, and printmaker based in Philly. Most of my work is based in fantasy with a dash of fan art. You can find more of my art and comics at: www.msgierillustration.com

We're primarying John Fetterman.

Last week, Fetterman again sold out working Pennsylvanians. He was the deciding vote for a Republican budget bill that will strip healthcare from over 400,000 Pennsylvanians.

We deserve real working class leadership in the Senate, not a Trump-enabling Democrat.

So I opened an INPRNT shop for some of my digital work (made in Procreate) as well as a few relief prints that work well as cards. Added a small sale, and there's free shipping until the end of Sunday! www.inprnt.com/gallery/msgi...

the tech industry—the vanguard of capitalism in our time—has produced a form of “intelligence” that is wholly conscience-free: its “originality” is stolen, it lies with abandon, it encourages self-harm, it readily gratifies human beings’ most sadistic impulses. it has created “AI” in its own image.

Absolutely deadly behavior causing another crash on Spruce Street at 5th st early this morning. This is on the busiest bike lane in Philly with over 1,500 riders who use it daily.

We deserve so much better than paint and flexposts, we deserve real protection.

I've been making some digital illustrations for a month long celebration of Final Fantasy VI over on Tumblr, which has a surprisingly robust and supportive fandom for the game. Taking the chance to experiment with color and texture in Procreate, finding some joy in these troubled times.

George Herriman is arguably one of the first major black artists in comics.

And the only reason for that is because NO ONE KNEW HE WAS BLACK.

He was light skinned enough to be white passing & hid that fact into old age so that he WOULD be able to continue drawing largely due to rampant racism.

On June 24, I began my Election Night speech by quoting Mandela: “It always seems impossible until it’s done.” That's the spirit of this campaign, and our city.

This is "Until It’s Done,” a new series about New Yorkers who refused to accept that a worthy goal was impossible.

We don't decide to build bridges based upon the number of people swimming across rivers, so why do we apply this logic to building protected bike infrastructure in cities?
