Not sure if this is the same thing, but I got the new, giant Metal Hurlant and it was pretty great to read some old Moebius stories along with new additions. Not sure if future issues are in store, but I'd pick up more.

George Herriman is arguably one of the first major black artists in comics.
And the only reason for that is because NO ONE KNEW HE WAS BLACK.
He was light skinned enough to be white passing & hid that fact into old age so that he WOULD be able to continue drawing largely due to rampant racism.
