I love our team and I’m so proud of them for this whole season. They fought through so much adversity, and I hate that the story is going to be 8th place winning when it should be a team going through all the injuries that Spirit did getting second.

There'll be multiple "what if" scenarios that Spirit fans talk about for years: what if Reale gets that 2nd yellow, what if they make the substitution faster?
But there's also a lost 15 minutes in there where they weren't at their best, & a general lack of execution/decisiveness around the box.

There's just no denying it. The injury happened in the 73rd minute, the 10v11 spell let Gotham take some control they hadn't had for the entire 2nd half.
Adrian Gonzalez didn't get that one right. The extended time with 10 while Hershfelt got treatment, having her come back on when her step was gone, it all led to that Gotham goal
