just finished Superman (2025) and it was pretty great. i'm not always a fan of superhero movies because i feel a lot of them lack identity but this one really hit the mark for me. it has its corny parts like they all do, but it doesn't feel like it undermines the movie's core message. solid ~9/10

Something quietly heartbreaking is when folks (unintentionally) downplay the seriousness of like... current circumstances.
When I say "I can't go to that event - I can't safely travel to the USA right now, or maybe ever again" I am voicing my reality, not seeking an optimistic outlook.

Eventually you have to accept that no matter how many different notebooks you buy, they won’t make you a better writer. For that, you need to spend a lot of money on the right pen.

So I recently left my previous job, and in some ways it has been a huge mental health boost!
BUT I'm also a lot more stressed using so much energy thinking about how to effectively spend my time.
