No shade, but it costs nothing to use alt text— there is a setting under accessibility, here on bluesky, that helps remind you to do so. Hope this helps someone become a little more access friendly, even small efforts towards inclusion mean something in 2025.

Money cannot bring back lives. We need to do better at taking accountability for those we have hurt. I do believe everything happens for a reason, but all of these things have consequences. If I make a mistake and kill someone, I'm not gonna brush it off as a freak accident.

They really had us learning the long way in school. Math is basically just common sense and using reasoning skills to solve problems. Lol srry I just got excited because I just flew through some random math problems without using a calculator 😛.

We need to be more careful who we give our power to, and how we wield what's left with us. So many of my blind friends voted for Trump, even though he wants to remove the Department of Education. This don't make sense! #disability

There are no real supports for Long Covid because there are no real supports for disability.
If we had real, livable patient centred supports in place your transition into disability would have still been rocky but with a modicum of dignity and much less fear & frustration.

I’m 62, on Medicaid, and applying for disability SSI. My mom died the week before the election of long COVID. You bet I’m scared. But I’m not giving up.
