TN07 is a story about gerrymandering: the GOP cracked Nashville into 3 districts when it redrew the 2022 map, destroying the Dem seat there.

Fast-forward: a section of Nashville, which just 5 years ago had a Dem representative, is now voting Dem by huge margins but it's been designed to not matter.

Last winter, local ERs had an uptick in frostbite cases because there were more individuals without housing than open shelters. For the month of December we are helping a local ER nurse collect waterproof boots, gloves, and socks!

Donate directly or bring donations to Holiday Happy Hour on 12/15. 💙

Traveling today and here’s a few joys:

- Layover in Chicago, my favorite American city.
- CTA themed bar for a CTA themed beer.
- Southwest flight attendants are the best in the biz.
- No kids and I can listen to music with free flowing profanity.

**No kids!! This is luxury travel.

Is there a support group for people acclimating to new music streamers?

Does Tidal connect work well with any smart speakers? I want my kids to be able to demand their songs. And I want to be able to control the sitch on my phone.
Currently the speaker plays but my phone doesn’t mirror what’s on

I’ve been on Spotify since 2011 so this is a big change for me. But the ICE ads are the last straw.

I’ve set up Tidal Family and only 16 tracks missing from my 15 yrs of playlists

Lower monthly $ for a platform that doesn't profit from exploiting artists while recruiting for ICE. #CancelSpotify

I think Americans are realizing that democracy is a participation sport, and the the government is ours if we want it to be. I feel like we got complacent and hoped some other third party would do the work for us. Seems like we have to learn that lesson every generation.

If Senators can now sue the DOJ for investigating their Jan 6 phone records can we FOIA that information? After all we are going to pay for it, lets see it.

I love writing op-eds.

Lots of people are sharing my video from FRIDAY about the Senate deal of that day, thinking it's about the SUNDAY deal. It is not. They are two entirely different kettles of fish. A great reminder always to check dates, although I've now hidden it so it should stop circulating.

Yesterday, when Bovino announced ICE would be returning to Little Village today, some of us donated and fundraised to buy out street vendors in the neighborhood. This morning, volunteers hit the streets at 6:30 am, looking for vendors to buy out. Tamales make an excellent breakfast.

Call. Your. House. Reps.

@davids.house.gov do not let this through without making a scene! You are our only federal fighting rep and Kansasans will not forget your courage, or your silence.
@aoc.bsky.social The GOP enriched themselves in the final version of the bill.

The bill states that “any senator whose Senate data, or the Senate data of whose Senate office, has been acquired can sue (be given) $500K.

Kill the retroactive part of that provision. It’s a handout!!!

Surprise! Because the shit sandwich wasn’t shitty enough, they also snuck a federal ban on hemp products into the funding bill.

Not only are we not legalizing weed, we’re going back on progress made for safe cannabis consumption.

Ok, here is why this Alt is pissed off.

They got a promise, pinky swear, from the GOP (known liars) on a vote 40 days from now on the subsidies. After the subsidies have expired, after the rates are locked.

40 day from now, meaning there isn't going to be any ACA help for 2026.

Tuesday’s elections were NOT about the Democratic Party.

They were about candidates focusing on the wants and needs of their constituents; about new leaders prepared to fight; about representation in every sense of the word.

Party leaders haven’t absorbed this yet.
