In 1890, the X and Y chromosomes were discovered. It was found that the men who were tested had 46 chromosomes, including an X and a Y, while women who were tested also had 46 chromosomes, including 2 X chromosomes.
So obviously the conclusion was that the Y chromosome defined masculinity.

So an ex, several years later, could decide they want to hurt you meaning potential jail time. Or if you are really lucky you might get off with being placed on the sex offenders register. Every single day it gets a little bit harder to just exist. Utterly exhausting.
This means, for example, a trans woman who lives as a woman, has a GRC, who has been stealth for decades - may be required to disclose her sex as recorded at birth to every sexual partner, else risk being found guilty of a criminal sexual offence.

TERFs, GCs, and conservatives are creeps obsessed with our bodies because we were supposed to be property available to them and they're upset that it was taken away from them. Once you understand their rhetoric through that lens, it's clear their "sympathy" isn't based on good intentions.

We see it with how they talk to transmasculine people, & it gets reinforced when talking about detrans women - with the constant "they're mutilated, infertile, unable to breast feed" makes it clear what the real issue is: we were supposed to be wives, mothers, always available for sexual access.
I think it's important to understand that the rhetoric around transmasculine people re. irreversible damage etc. is less of actual sympathy or concern for the trans person themselves, and more addressed to the Patriarch:
