The X situation is an excellent example of the perils of neoliberalism. The state has become so beholden to a private service provider for public service announcements, they're resorting to equivocation on responsibility for CSAM and violent misogyny on that platform rather than risk losing it.

There is no such thing as “Nazi-adjacent”.

Our gov’t is now controlled by actual Nazis.
Kristi Noem’s podium at DHS is just a straight up Nazi slogan

"One of ours, all of yours" was a Nazi policy made when an SS officer was killed in a Czech Village and then the Nazis killed every single resident of that village in response…..but don’t you dare call them Nazis….not even hiding it

@mark-carney.bsky.social it is time for all Cdn politicians to leave X (Twitter).

Marshall McLuhan said "the medium is the message." Will you lead and take the first step to say the Canadian government rejects the message of hate that the use of X sends?

FYI:

In 1916 the U.S. signed an agreement for control of St. Thomas, St. John & St. Croix, known as the “Danish West Indies,” in exchange for $25 million & a declaration that the U.S. would “not object to the Danish Govt extending their political & economic interests to the whole of Greenland.

THREAD: Viral misinformation on US capture of Nicolas Maduro - 4 January

This video, shared by Alex Jones and others, falsely claims to show millions of Venezuelans in Caracas celebrating Maduro's capture.

In fact, it shows anti-Maduro protests in July 2024 over a highly disputed election.

Just think, critically, before jumping on a bandwagon.
Just read more antivaxxer garbage about replacing vaccines with healthy food and exercise to boost immune systems while more babies die of measles.

Vaccinating widely is how we protect Littles too young for vaccines - no exercise will protect them.

WTF with these people

Hey Canada, I was sickened to see poppies being sold on Amazon. No way are they doing this in a charitable way!
Please buy at the poppy shop or direct retailers where 100% of the money goes to the Legion.

Good lord. The # 's in here are...wow.
"Multiplying Ford’s current market cap 94 times over wouldn’t quite get you to Nvidia’s. Yet 20 years ago, Ford was worth nearly triple what Nvidia was."

"...those AI expenditures accounted for 92 percent of GDP growth during the first half of 2025"

Not good.
Here’s How the AI Crash Happens
The U.S. is becoming an Nvidia-state.

Poilievre wants you to believe that the Bank of Canada has abandoned their mission statement of keeping inflation low and stable. They only moved it to a different page. But then, he knows that but chooses to spread his propaganda and lies. #cdnpoli

This makes a surprising amount of sense. A loose affiliation does not create collective identity or accountability.
“The Left” and “the Right” aren’t real.
They’re made-up clubs, invented and sold to the public by the people in power…
and by the loudest people with the most to gain.

#DougFord needs to remember that he is the Premier of Ontario, not the mayor. Defending driving 10 over in a school zone is inexcusable. Drivers over children and pedestrians. Let local voters determine if what they want their municipalities to do.

How is it that a pitcher like Brendan Little is brought into a game when he can't find the zone? Is there not some indication in the warm-up that a pitcher doesn't have it? @wilnerness.bsky.social can you shed some light?

Among the many tornadoes that have hit Canada over the decades, none were stronger than the F5 that hit Elie, Manitoba on June 22, 2007. It had wind speeds over 420 km/h and caused $39 million in damages. No one was killed or injured.
