DEI *enforces meritocracy

When was this country a meritocracy? Completely free of preferential treatment based on creed, religion, race, class ... ? Never. DEI is prohibited meritocracy. DEI does not say hire or promote the lesser qualified. It says look only at qualifications.

I agree, but I believe many did not view the Liberal and NDP leaders as viable. Bonnie Crombie, in particular, was invisible prior to the election campaign and nearly invisible during the campaign.
