“Fuck you”

“Fuck you” is the answer to that question.

I've been researching the idea of Unconditional Universal Basic Income since 2013. Here's a collection of findings I've compiled from various UBI experiments and studies of cash transfer programs around the world.

This will be a VERY LONG and ongoing thread focused entirely on empirical evidence. 🧵

Senator Duckworth let Pete know how offended by him she is. 🔥
Sen Tammy Duckworth tore into Pete Hegseth, calling out his abuse of power and demanding he stop forcing the military to do the job of the Department of Homeland Security.

“If Hegseth wants to be DHS Secretary so badly,” she said, “he can apply—after he’s fired for incompetence.”🔥🔥🔥

WHERE is all the money going??
🧵ICYMI: Trump is going after the National Science Foundation (NSF) budget, slashing it by $5.1 billion—about 57%. This is the largest single-year cut in the agency’s history and would affect nearly every aspect of NSF’s operations, from research grants to education & workforce development programs.

If there's one legacy of the War in Iraq that Democrats should have internalized, it's the fact that those who lined up behind the war drums all came to regret that decision while those who wisely refused to go along were soon vindicated.

One of the latter rode that decision to the White House!
UPDATE — At least *37* members of Congress have now signed on to efforts against the Trump-Vance administration's moves towards war on Iran.

+5 since yesterday.

I thought I was losing my mind when this happened because it was an attempted assassination of a national political leader and it was treated like it was nothing.
We should've made a bigger national crisis of someone breaking into Nancy Pelosi's home & trying to kill her husband. But then, we should've made a bigger national crisis about hundreds of someones breaking into the Capitol & trying to steal an election. But then, we should've done lots of things.

Day 2 of the manhunt for the Trump voters who murdered a Democratic politician in cold blood. Those cops are just having such a hard time catching that schlubby boomer who did it you guys. The delay has nothing to do with the fact that he has multiple sympathizers working in the police departments.
"His wife, Deb Boelter, is the city clerk-treasurer in Winsted. The family’s commitment to public service also extends to his son and daughter, who are both are police officers. His son serves on the Golden Valley department and his daughter serves on the Minneapolis department."

A leader of the MN House Democrats is murdered by a Republican pro-life activist. Rather than condemning political murder of his opponents, Elon Musk spreads the conspiracy theory that it was done by Democrats. Journalists don’t need to use any social media site. But they really shouldn’t use X.

This is serious, rigorous analysis and it should change the way the media has been covering these protests. These were, in the aggregate, *massive.*
Based on crowd-sourced records of No Kings Day event turnout, and extrapolating for the cities where we don't have data yet, it looks like roughly 4-6 million people protested Trump across the U.S. yesterday. That's nearly 2% of the U.S. pop!

Mobilized anti-Trump resistance is exceeding 2017 levels
"No Kings Day" protests turn out millions
Our unofficial estimate is that around 4 million people attended a protest event yesterday. Anti-Trump resistance is outpacing 2017.
