These are the folks I adopted Horrible Babby Kitten from! Like all rescues they do a LOT of unpaid and invisible work for local animals, so if you have even $5 it would be awesome if you could kick in!

This touches on a specific thing about newer movies that bothers me (everyone is beautiful and no one is horny)

Bottom line: right wing advancing a censorship agenda using “indecent” content as the angle. Don’t allow CC companies to dictate what you can purchase (as long as it’s legal!). And age verification laws can kick rocks, too.

Not seeing much on my timeline about it anymore, so here's a reminder: payment processors are still trying to censor NSFW content of all kinds, and are in fact getting more aggressive about it; I'm seeing stories of folks losing access every day

Sounds like the squishes in the senate caucus are ready to pull the plug with no ACA changes. This is real. If you want to register your opinion you shld call yr senator in the next hour. They not only want to reopen w/nothing. They want cover from their colleagues who still want to hold out.

One century ago, standard, mid-range, catalog shoes went for 2025 $30-50 per pair, were repairable (glued soles hadn’t become common yet), were made of leather, would last for several years and could be Ship of Theseus’ed on soles, fasteners and heels.
They were better shoes for less.
