Rian Johnson clearly had a lot on his mind regarding the intersection of religion, politics and power when he wrote Wake Up, Dead Man. Razor sharp and funny as hell, naturally, but surprisingly poignant to boot. The cast is aces, but Glenn Close and Josh O’Connor are the MVPs.

What a shame. Tammie was always such a lovely person to interact with. My heart goes out to her family and loved ones.

Very straightforwardly detained by secret police for speech. I honestly don't know what establishment figures are telling themselves any more to avoid cognitive dissonance over this shit.
ICE arrested comedian Robby Roadsteamer for singing a parody of Rod Stewart’s “Do Ya Think I’m Sexy” in a Jeffrey Epstein the Giraffe costume outside their facility.

He sings “If you hate brown people / and you are a Nazi” and ICE thugs grab him and drag him into detention. No violence—just speech.

Still trying to shake off the effects of Kathryn Bigelow’s harrowing nuclear thriller A HOUSE OF DYNAMITE. An even better “people talking in rooms” film than last year’s CONCLAVE, which was stellar, but that one didn’t scare the bejesus out of me like this.

TRON: ARES has a killer score from NIN and some cool visuals. But that’s about it, unfortunately.

Movie Review: 'Tron: Ares'
Disney's decades-long struggle to transform Tron into a viable franchise has been, to put it mildly, a perplexing endeavor. The original 1982 film was considere

I was fired from my gig as a primary and middle school drama director on Monday.

As if I wasn’t already excited enough! Hell of an endorsement here.
I don’t think One Battle After Another can be over-hyped. You’re going to hear alot of what sounds like awards season hyperbole about it, but it’s not - the movie is undeniable, it really is that good. And it’s a big funny entertaining action movie, but also much more. I can’t wait to see it again.

Last week, Boston received a letter from AG Bondi threatening to prosecute officials and withhold funds unless we cooperate with carrying out mass deportations.

The US Attorney General asked for a response by today, so here it is: stop attacking our cities to hide your administration’s failures.

Hey, you remember when the GOP gave us Homeland Security? That's GOP boss and convicted pedophile Dennis Hastert on the left of Bush. The pedophile is the longest-serving GOP Speaker of the House in history.

There's a very good reason the GOP doesn't want to talk about Epstein.

Look, you can say a lot about Hogan's legacy: he was racist, he was terrible to his colleagues, he put himself above other people, he firmly believed in the supremacy of white people, he was a bad wrestler, his life was a net negative for society.

That's it. That's the post.

Despite the impact he had on the professional wrestling industry, and despite being one of the heroes of my childhood, you won’t find me shedding any tears over the loss of Hulk Hogan. That just doesn’t work for me, brother.
