(and it's a bad idea in principle, rooted in a racist desire for an ethically pure nation)
"Sure, ICE is bad, but we need to deport illegal immigrants"

No you don't.

If immigration enforcement leads to concentration camps and roving death squads, maybe it's time to just get rid of the concept of illegal immigration entirely. You've tried it, it's a bad idea in practice, so bin it.

I keep coming back to how Star Trek drew a hard-line stance against eugenics in February 1967.

They return to this topic in every series and it is intrinsic to the premise of at least two motion pictures. One of which is widely regarded a high point of the franchise

And perhaps most importantly,

5) Trek is about us, in the future. It has a legacy of people seeing themselves, in the future. Any concern about realism comes a distant, distant second to "I want someone to see themselves."

"I promise you, you'll still exist in the future. You're coming with us."

The second, though, is that able-bodied people often think of someone being "wheelchair bound."

For most who use them, the wheelchair is not the issue. The frailty of the body is an issue - the wheelchair is a solution. The disability is what binds you, but the wheelchair provides *freedom.*

How Trump's withdrawal from Minneapolis is being covered abroad.

In Le Monde, the lead French daily, the homepage article starts with:

"Two people dead, thousands arrested, two cities shaken, and Donald Trump defeated."

A base that has long made pragmatic, sober decisions appears increasingly attracted to charismatic outsiders who promise to break from the party’s failures of the last decade. They see their party’s leaders as feckless and inept.

It’s the Democratic Tea Party, with a twist. trib.al/mC5cBDA

this makes me think of Trails in the Sky and its remake, how the former has a unique and cute toy dolls art style but the latter has a kinda generic looking anime one.

idk how long dev times were, but 3 games from 04 to 07 in a shared world driven by strategic asset reuse and a shared engine...

this.

transmisogyny is just the groyper breeding gulags shit made palatable to normies
always remember the foundation of transmisogyny is men's refusal to let the power to define "womanhood" rest with anyone but them, or be done on any terms than reproductive usefulness for them, as the class of owning subjects over women as a class of owned labour-power receptacles
like as @taliabhatt.itch.io points out "they don't claim to be real women" is usually code for "they know they can't get pregnant" which only means the same thing on a profoundly misogynist version of "womanhood." anyway i was reading wikipedias about tuvalu and got mad

I really don't think a lot of elected Dems understand how radicalized a lot of people like me are right now. Like the only debates about ICE and DHS I want to hear from my candidates is about who has the better plan to dismantle both and who will prosecute the ICE goons better.

i still think its too early to be committing to a candidate, and there's plenty i don't like about AOC, but she's perfect example of someone better than Newsom.
anybody currently raging about Newsom needs to be stopped better get on board or I might think your outrage is a tad performative

If Moderna is no longer bringing vaccine trials for Epstein-Barr virus (good evidence that EB causes Multiple Sclerosis), herpes, and shingles because of Trump appointees, I want prison time for those appointees.

This might be dooming millions to disease they don’t have to experience.

"It appears that in planning for Operation Metro Surge, the government failed to plan for the constitutional rights of its civil detainees."
