5) Trek is about us, in the future. It has a legacy of people seeing themselves, in the future. Any concern about realism comes a distant, distant second to "I want someone to see themselves."

The second, though, is that able-bodied people often think of someone being "wheelchair bound."

For most who use them, the wheelchair is not the issue. The frailty of the body is an issue - the wheelchair is a solution. The disability is what binds you, but the wheelchair provides *freedom.*

like you can respect kids and give them art, but you gotta expect them to want something they can play for an hour after school or 4-5 hrs with friends on a weekend and beat in a month tops. Otherwise you lost everyone but the losers.

vs 15? car trip! 16? ok 16 is cool but also... it's a monster fight. then a linear walk. it's cool but it's adult cool. I don't see kids getting excited by it.

(1) the pacing of those games is lowkey fucked. the world is too big. there's too much downtime between set pieces. set pieces are too much.

(2) intros of the old games caught you better. raiding a village. terrorist attack. those felt cool and forbidden as a kid

Like I would not have gotten excited about FF15 or FF16 as a kid the way I got excited to sit under my friend's loft bed playing FFVI, or at home playing FFVII
