When I was 14 and fully grown men were creepy towards me I was definitely socialized to not fight back and never "be rude" to adult men. They had all the power because I was a CHILD.

It's not that corporate wildly misjudged their customer base and poisoned their own brand. No, it's the sales associates who are at fault for not being dead enough inside.
