The Trump administration has ordered at least 20 strikes on boats near Venezuela, killing over 85 people. These strikes are patently unlawful — just like Secretary Hegseth’s alleged order on September 2 to kill any survivors.

Today, after months of requests, I toured the Broadview ICE Processing Facility. I want to share what I saw.

The facility has no food vendor, no medical care, and detainees have to use toilets in the middle of shared cells. These are in no way suitable conditions to be holding anyone — period.

The demand for $7500 in relocation assistance for each current 7500 South Shore resident, 30 days in avdance of their move out, may be complicated by how, per court filings dated 11/20/2025, Wells Fargo and Friedman are seeking Dec. 12 as a move out date. They say this date was proposed by the city.

Another tenant named Mashawnda Price explained the building has been shut down and is in recievership under Friedman Communities as tenants are moved out.

She said Friedman has yet to address problems for those who remain.

"They have not fixed the lights in the hallway, it is *dark,*" she said.

NEW — Chicago residents of 7500 S. South Shore Dr., which was the target of a militarized ICE raid in September, have formed a tenants union.
