If you are married to a US spouse, your temporary visa (usually for 3 months) will lapse before your case is processed. The government allowed you could stay in the US while awaiting case processing. Now the Trump admin is saying that is a visa overstay and arresting the spouses.

Today, after months of requests, I toured the Broadview ICE Processing Facility. I want to share what I saw.
The facility has no food vendor, no medical care, and detainees have to use toilets in the middle of shared cells. These are in no way suitable conditions to be holding anyone — period.

This again brings up the idea of elder abuse. Whoever is putting Grandpa up to this (again) is decidedly not doing their best for the patient.

Shouldn’t we be asking “where is all that money DOGE saved us?” Billions slashed from agency budgets, but that funding was already appropriated. Where’s the billions in funding congress directed under the bipartisan infrastructure bill? Where’s that? It’s all papering accounts, but where is it?

The USDA sent an email to grocery stores telling them they are prohibited from offering special discounts to customers affected by the SNAP funding lapse.
