In no particular order: farmer's daughter, scientist, mom, actively involved in local and state government, aspires to be as accomplished as her mother and to contribute, as her father, to a better world
U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is planning for the military to sever all ties with Scouting America, saying the group once known as the Boy Scouts is displaying their badges all wrong.

(I'm kidding, but the real reason is not much better)

Is this part of the MAHA movement that RFK is so well-known for?

The EPA is starting to allow the use of pesticides containing PFAS on food.

The move is part of an effort to roll back the regulation of what are called "forever chemicals" because they don't break down easily in the environment.

While our Attorney General fights to feed our citizens, the President is fighting to take back the funds to do so.
Donald Trump wants us to take food off the plates of Connecticut families who finally just now got the chance to eat. Undo food stamps? Those funds were out the door on Saturday, and families were in the grocery stores all weekend. We’re fighting this one to the bitter end.

You can say those 20M are fucked, and they are. Which is precisely where they were after Big Ugly passed.

But please don't forget that 40M people were going to go hungry.

Worse comes to worse govt shuts down on Jan30 and SNAP can't be used as hostages.

With one more week, Trump would have owned far more of the responsibility for SNAP and flight cutbacks.

Remember "the forgotten man" from 2017 Trump's first speech as the leader of the free world?

It is infuriating to see dozens of videos from my hometown of ICE agents invading the community. The video below shows my best friend's apartment in the background. It's just a block from a school. . . all schools were on lock down because of the chaos. This is not making the community safer.

Portland resists with whimsical improv theater, Chicago resists by screaming at weird jagoffs that don’t belong in the neighborhood. Every city brings its own strengths to the fight
The energy we need is this suburban dad standing out in the street -- barefoot with Blackhawks pajama pants on -- screaming at the masked goons to get the fuck out of their neighborhood.

Every time your electricity bill goes up for the next 10 years, it can be traced back to this Administration’s actions.

They are making solar and wind power illegal to build in the United States. They are artificially restricting supply while demand is going up.

Now, more than ever, scientists must adhere not only to scientific principles but also to a moral compass.

Our medical system is going to be a shambles before we know it. Millions will lose Medicaid/Medicare, medical research will be cut, hospitals will have to cover the costs of uninsured, holes will be left where international students previously filled roles, and RFK Jr will undermine all trust.
“If international medical graduates can’t start their medical residencies on time on July 1, the ramifications are so far-reaching that it is really unconscionable,” said Kimberly Pierce Burke, executive director of the Alliance of Independent Academic Medical Centers.”

Surprise! Surprise! The man responsible (but who has not taken any responsibility) for fueling the measles outbreak in Samoa in 2019, which resulted in 83 deaths, has replaced a panel of vaccine experts with anti-vaxxers.
Reading about RFK Jr.'s new picks to run the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) and they are exactly who you thought they would be. A big group of dangerous anti-vaxxers. They're going to make the public scared of vaccines so no one wants them anymore.
