Judy LaMarsh helped bring us Medicare and the Canada Pension Plan.
She oversaw our Centennial celebrations.
Her book, Memoirs of a Bird in a Gilded Cage, is one of Canada's best political memoirs.
She even played a role in the fight for LGBTQ rights.
This is her story.
