Seven years ago today, 15-year-old Ethan Song was fatally shot with an unsecured gun at a friend's house.

And let’s be clear: CEOs are not the only victims. I know too many survivors of ghost gun shootings, like @miatretta.bsky.social, who was shot at her California high school. Ghost guns pose threats to all of us, especially when they are readily accessible to anyone, anywhere.

My mom told me a story yesterday about having to call in a wellness check on a person having a mental health crises, and firearms in the home. Just a reminder that our work does not stop because of who’s going to be president. Our work matters more now than ever. #KeepGoing #GunViolencePrevention

A few years after I was shot in a school shooting I got to meet and introduce President Biden. He was kind, empathetic, and inspiring. He told me not just to keep going but to keep pushing for change, and that’s what I’ll do. That’s a president. 💙

I had lost my phone after getting shot. A girl in the classroom we hid in text my mom for me. People say “I can’t imagine what you went through” but you can and it’s exactly as you think. Terrible.
Today marks 5 years since a boy came to school with a ghost gun. He shot my baby girl, injured three, murdered two, and ripped our community apart. I will NEVER forget that day and I will NEVER stop fighting for a country where our kids are safe.#SaugusHigh
