In any other job if you spent so little time working you wouldn’t be taking home a salary of $174,000!

I’m still pissed - and gutted.

The donor list for Trump’s White House ballroom felt overwhelming — like how do we even begin to protest this?

So I broke it down into small, doable actions. If you’re upset too, here’s how you can push back — even in 5-10 min chunks.

What are the odds they hired archivists and such to properly preserve and protect the art and historical artifacts in The East Wing before they took a backhoe to it? Y’all we gotta remember this come Nov 4th!
The East Wing was built in 1902 & rebuilt in 1942, long after asbestos was used as a fire retardant. So, I’m sure the White House took steps to prevent a known carcinogen from entering the air during the current willy-nilly demolition.

Kidding! These irresponsible assholes don’t care who they kill.

All of these companies should be forever associated with destroying the White House.
UPDATE: More donors funding the demolition of the East Wing for Trump's $250M ballroom have been identified

90 FUCKING PERCENT

i’d love for cis folks to remember what the nyt, atlantic, guardian, daily mail, times of london, ny post, cnn, wall street journal, & economist took from your transgender neighbors & loved ones before the next time you consider giving them money or listening to a word they say.
It’s almost like when you don’t have a rabidly trans-hostile media ecosystem, people generally support human rights.

BREAKING: Our crowd count estimate from the No Kings coalition responsible for planning today’s event is 7 MILLION nationwide.

7 MILLION of you gathered across the country to peacefully protest today.

2 million more than the first No Kings action in June.
It's official. Nearly 7 million people. Today is the single largest day of protest in American history. Americans from all corners of the country are standing up and saying #NoKings. This is what peaceful, patriotic protest looks like.

No Kings Protest Middleton, WI. A woman next to me said that last night 150 people had RSVPed. I think we had almost double that if you count the side streets. And ours was the smaller protest designed for those with accessibility issues, I can only imagine what the capital looked like! #NoKings

Warren: The only movement these Republicans can manage is bowing down to Trump. When you ask them about today, they claim the No Kings Rally is anti-American. They’re wrong. Hundreds of thousands of people protesting peacefully for what they believe in—that is deeply American. That is patriotism.

There is no conceivable argument that these ships, even if we assume they were carrying narcotics, could not be dealt with in some other way. I think we can just drop the caveats and say: This is mass murder.
Unless and until some kind of compelling legal and moral argument is presented as to why this is a legitimate use of deadly force, this is just…mass murder.

I know Mike Johnson says there is nothing for the House to do but there is.

You see by law a budget was supposed to be in place by Sept 30th, but Rs haven’t passed one. The reason? There isn’t a GOP budget. They haven’t even started working on one. This is what the House should be doing FFS!

When you have to hide your neighbors like Anne Frank, that's a sign that there is something DEEPLY wrong with your government.
aaand we are officially in the hide-your-neighbors stage
During a military-style raid on a building in Chicago’s South Shore, one resident heard a knock on his door.

It wasn’t the feds —  it was a mom and her 7-year-old daughter, pleading for help.

He let them hide in his unit for the next 3 days.

You can do everything “right” and still become disabled.

You can do everything “right” and have a child who is disabled.

There is nothing wrong with being disabled, and if more of us approached disability with compassion, understanding, and advocacy instead of fear, the world would be better.
