Big surprise. The corruption is baked in.
NEW: We’ve uncovered the first known example of taxpayer money flowing from DHS to businesses controlled by Kristi Noem’s allies and friends.

It’s part of a money trail that’s been shrouded in secrecy—and involves $220 million, a mysterious Delaware LLC & a horse named Gill.

When we next get a Democrat in the Oval Office, and I’m going to say it’ll be 2028, they should bring Jack Smith out of retirement and appoint him Attorney General with a brief to swiftly mete out justice.

Musk broke laws. Vought broke laws. Every DOGE boy broke laws. RFK broke laws. Noem & Bondi & Hegseth & Rubio *all* broke laws. I suspect a bunch of US Senators and Congresspeople did insider trading, for all I know it was bipartisan. Every. Single. One. of them needs to have *real* consequences.
Something the US needs to accept too is that without a large-scale correction imposing consequences on a large number of people, the crisis of governance here will continue indefinitely

The only way we will win a better world is not only leftism for America, but internationalism. “Researchers who have anything to do with China should have their careers ended” is a bipartisan position, and it can’t be anymore. If we live in a fragmented world, it will burn in our lifetime

For the record: this would pretty much ends American field work in the geosciences in China.

That includes:
-the world's largest plateau
-the world's best ice age land sedimentary archive
-number of major fault systems

It's ONLY been 65 years since six year old Ruby Bridges walked through the halls of William Frantz Elementary as the first Black child to attend an all white school. Met with mobs and hate, her bravery and courage helped change the course of history for this nation.

Thanks for pointing this out! It boggles me that elders think that jacked-in teens are somehow tuning out. My boys are far, far more aware of everything that’s going on than I am. Because they’re jacked in. They’re amazingly efficient at processing information. And they’re curious, as all kids are.
This is why when people whine about kids this age not wanting to do anything but look at screens I just laugh. Your fear of screens is not their apathy.

So targeting a president & a bunch of senators who provoked a violent insurrection while the cameras rolled is bad, but targeting some unknown guy who happens to have brown skin is just fine. Did I get that right?
⚡️UPDATE: @SenatorHagerty (who is rich) says he will NOT sue to stuff his pockets with taxpayer dollars (for Jack Smith doing his job)

Now @MarshaBlackburn is the only Tennessee senator who plans to enrich herself — it’s clear what kind of governor she’d be. #MarshasMoneyGrab

good summary thread for the insane epstein/sulzberger/michael wolff connection
Why the NYT didn't report on their Epstein info is tangled up with another question: was Epstein a friend of the Sulzberger family? Epstein claims he first befriended NYT publisher "Punch" Sulzberger in the 1970s, when Sulzberger's daughter (age ~12) was at the prep school where Epstein taught. 1/

I’d like to know what Epstein is going on about here. I mean, it sounds like coked up blathering, but what’s he really going on about?
And not even just casually texting but upon being asked by Steve Bannon if Jeffery Epstein can get rid of then-US Treasurer Steve Mnuchin or current chair of the federal reserve Jerome Powell, Epstein replies"no Mnuchin is good" in the most boomer on a Blackberry way possible like what the fuck
