I will never recover from knowing that a disabled child was stolen from his mother and in jail over a paperwork issue. And it was done in my name and with my money, while we pretend we have freedom.

I do not know what gorgeous thing
the bluebird keeps saying,
his voice easing out of his throat,
beak, body into the pink air
of the early morning. I like it
whatever it is. Sometimes
it seems the only thing in the world
that is without dark thoughts

A Door just opened on a street -
I - lost - was passing by -
An instant's Width of Warmth disclosed -
And Wealth - and Company.

The Door as sudden shut - And I -
I - lost - was passing by -
Lost doubly - but by contrast - most -
Informing - Misery.

*exhale* I'm fighting for the light with everything I've got but damn, the darkness is chasing me down. I not recovered from navigating mis/dis information about kids and covid. There is no "do your own research". I'm just a single mom doing my best. I need experts who already did the research.
In agreement with my friend @kkjetelina.bsky.social who writes today: "I suggest the general public avoid the CDC website."

I love the light all around the edges, proving to the dark that there's more than meets the eye. The dark can't have the whole thing.
#30DayMapChallenge · Day 21 · Icons. Lighthouses of the Pacific. Yes...I've done lots of lighthouse maps but not in this projection. I still like it—there's nothing like path-traced points of light realistically rendered.
