Take note charity sector still on X.

If this week's news isn't a red line for you, what is?
I have not personally used X/Twitter for some time now. It was already an unpleasant place prior to its takeover by Elon Musk but since his acceptance of hate speech and anonymous online abusers, it has become utterly unusable.

As a “New Year thing” I am, over the coming ten days, going to share / promote 10 #BlueSky accounts that I think make this platform a good place to spend time. #10UpbeatPosters is the hashtag. @danthompson33.bsky.social is the first; #beavers #books #rewilding #seasidetowns & much more besides…
It's not all shit. Incredible things are happening in the world - rewilding and nature restoration, new ways of doing things, people making the world better, lots of beavers. Get ten hopeful things in your inbox, every Monday morning, for free. You'll be happier.

Many years ago I entered a photo competition.

The only judge was Martin Parr. He put my photo in the final six which went to the public vote. He'd been one of my photo heroes and his work continues to inspire me.

So sad to hear he has died.
